How Long Should You Rent a Bluetooth Speaker For?

Working out the right rental duration from your event timings, with typical durations for common events.

In short

Most single-evening events — house parties, birthdays and small functions — fit within an 8-hour speaker rental, including setup and pickup. Book a full day if setup happens in the morning, if the event runs longer than about 6 hours, or for all-day corporate programmes. Multi-day festivals and workshops need a multi-day booking.

The right rental duration comes from your event timings, not from the speaker. Add up three things: setup time before guests arrive, the event itself, and a buffer before pickup.

The basic arithmetic

  1. Setup: delivery, placement, pairing and a mic test. Allow about 30–60 minutes before guests arrive.
  2. Event: from the first song to the last.
  3. Buffer: time for things to overrun and for pickup.

If the total fits within 8 hours, an 8-hour slot works. If not, book the full day.

Typical durations by event

These are common patterns, not rules. Your own timings decide.

Kids' birthday party

The party itself often runs 2–4 hours. With setup and buffer, an 8-hour slot is usually plenty.

House party or anniversary dinner

Evening parties commonly run 4–5 hours. An 8-hour slot covers it if delivery happens in the late afternoon. Remember that loudspeakers outdoors are restricted after 10 pm, which naturally caps outdoor events.

Family function or reception

Programmes with speeches, performances and dinner can stretch to 5–6 hours. If decorators set up in the morning and want sound checked early, book the full day.

Corporate offsite, training or conference

These usually run through the working day, often with an early start. A full day is the safer choice.

Apartment festivals

Many festivals run over two or three days. Book multiple days so the speaker stays put instead of being collected and redelivered.

8-hour slot vs full day: the cost difference

For our speakers, the gap between an 8-hour slot and a full day is small. For example, the 12-inch party speaker is ₹900 for 8 hours and ₹1,200 for the full day. If your timings are tight, the full day removes the stress of watching the clock.

Planning around our hours

We deliver and collect between 9 am and 8 pm. Late-night events can still use an 8-hour slot or full day; just agree the pickup time when you book.

FAQs

Is an 8-hour slot enough for a party?

For most single-evening events, yes. A typical house party or birthday plus setup and pickup time fits within 8 hours.

When should I book a full day instead?

When setup happens in the morning for an evening event, when the event itself runs past about 6 hours, or for an all-day corporate programme.

Can I extend during the event?

Message us as early as you can. Extensions depend on whether the speaker is booked next.
