Lighting and effects change how an event looks and feels more than almost anything else for the money. Most families and organisers need them for one evening. Renting gets you the effect without buying, storing or maintaining equipment, and everything here is priced per 8-hour slot.
Popular setups
Couple entry
A fog machine fired on cue as the couple walks in, with two to four par cans washing the entry path in colour. Add a bubble machine for a softer look, or if the venue's smoke alarms rule out fog.
Sangeet or dance floor
Par cans around the floor in saturated colours, a fog machine for visible beams, and the 1000W or 2000W speaker for sound.
Kids' birthday or baby shower
A bubble machine near the cake table, one or two par cans on the backdrop, and the 80W Saga speaker for music.
Award night or conference
A podium with mic connected to a speaker, par cans washing the stage, and our projector and screen for slides.
Practical checks before you book
- Smoke alarms: fog triggers most detectors. Get permission from the venue or association.
- Power: the fog machine needs a 16A socket, and halogen par cans need a socket each. Plan extension boards in advance.
- Floors: bubble residue makes tiled and marble floors slippery, so keep machines away from walkways.
- Heat: halogen par cans get very hot. Keep them away from fabric, flowers and children.
FAQs
Will the fog machine set off smoke alarms?
It can. Fog triggers most smoke detectors, so check with your banquet hall, hotel or apartment association before using it indoors.
What is the most popular combination?
Par can lights with a fog machine. The fog makes the coloured light beams visible in the air.
Is liquid included with the fog and bubble machines?
Yes, each comes with 1 litre of liquid.
Can these be used outdoors?
Bubbles work well outdoors. Fog disperses quickly in open or windy areas. Keep all electrical equipment covered and away from rain.
What power do I need?
The fog machine needs a 16A socket. Each par can needs its own socket, and the bubble machine plugs into a regular socket.
